STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – After a successful first year in which 220 high school athletes and 24 colleges from across North America gathered at the 2017 RecruitUS Collegiate Bowling Showcase, the firm has released dates and details for its second annual event, set to take place May 26 & 27 at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich.
The major change in this announcement is the move from April 9 to May 26 and 27, pushing the event over a month back from its inaugural year and making it a two-day event due to its popularity. The girls portion of the event will be May 26, while the guys will be on May 27.
“Despite setting an industry record in our first year, I see a tremendous growth potential yet to be achieved,” said RecruitUS President Kenneth DeGraaf. “This new date is at the completion of both the high school and college bowling season, in addition to being more attractive to those traveling from afar with the proceeding Memorial Day off work and school.”
“I am excited to keep the event at Sterling Lanes as they were great hosts and we received plenty of compliments about their hospitality. They also just got some new renovations done since the completion of our 2017 event, so next year will be even better!”
Registration for the event will open in November and can take up to 230 athletes per day on a first-come, first-serve basis.
