NEW BOSTON, Mich. – RecruitUS has officially announced plans to expand into golf with the 2018 RecruitUS Collegiate Golfing Showcase set to take place Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Mich.
The event will give high school golfers the opportunity to compete in front of a plentiful amount of college programs with the hopes of being recruited to the next level.
“We are so excited to announce our golf expansion after launching with a successful bowling event,” said RecruitUS Vice President Cole Paczas. “Willow Metropark is a beautiful 71-par golf course that will challenge our athletes. Golf pro Lindsey Mason III runs the facility and he shares our passion in giving this opportunity to the golfers of tomorrow.”
Steve D’Arca, a former collegiate golfer from Northwood University, will be serving as the tournament director for this event. “It truly means a lot to be associated with the first ever RecruitUS Golf event,” said D’Arca. “Golf has been the number one passion in my life since I started playing back before middle school, and to be able to give that energy and passion back to the kids who aspire to play at the next level is what it is all about.”
Event registration opens up to coaches ($40) on December 1, while player registration ($100) opens up on January 1. The event maxes out at 150 golfers and 30 collegiate coaches with Sunday, June 24, being the registration deadline. All registration for the event can be completed online through the RecruitUS Eventbrite Registration Page.
In addition to golf and bowling, RecruitUS plans on announcing one additional TBA sport for the 2018 calendar year.
