TROY, Mich. – The Boys & Girls Club of Troy in Troy, Mich., has been named the official charity of RecruitUS in an
announcement made earlier today by RecruitUS President Kenneth DeGraaf.
“I really couldn’t think of a better charity to include,” DeGraaf said, “The Boys & Girls Club system has done so much for me growing up as a kid in addition to working there in my professional career. It truly is a great place where great futures start. We are both located out of Troy and are heavily involved in sport. It just made sense.”
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy has provided a safe and positive place for young people in the tri-county area (Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties) of metropolitan Detroit and southeast Michigan. The club runs both after-school programs and summer programs throughout the year.
RecruitUS Vice President, Cole Paczas, added, “I love working with kids and getting them involved with sports at a young age. I am really excited to be partnered with a charitable organization like the Boys & Girls Club that shares many of the same values we do.”
The first line of action for RecruitUS with the BGCT is to donate a portion of all proceeds from the 2017 RecruitUS Launch Fundraiser to the charity. According to DeGraaf, however, he expects that to be just the tip of iceberg.
“That will only be the start,” he said. “We have big plans for the Boys & Girls Club that goes far beyond charitable donations. We are excited to share those announcements when the time comes.”
